“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30
God is speaking and we must learn to identify His voice. There are so many voices coming at us from so many different directions and it is easy to be overwhelmed in discerning which of those voices are the right one. Don't worry, the pressure is off of you to figure that out on your own. God is inviting you to a level of intimacy that when He speaks, you will know. He is not wanting our lives to be a guessing game, wondering what He is saying and wondering what He is doing. John 15:15 says, "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." We have access to what God is saying and doing. Better yet, God is longing to partner with you and bring Heaven to earth through your every day life. How do we set our lives up to get to this place? Live in close relationship with Jesus. In John 10:27-30 Jesus gives us the answer by saying that "My sheep know My voice." Do you know how that happens? This happens through conversation, through relationship, through experience. As you grow closer to Jesus, you learn more about His ways and you learn more about His character.
